Dr. Jason Ding is a primary care optometrist at Southpoint Optometry, proudly serving the communities he grew up in. Born and raised in British Columbia, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences from the University of British Columbia before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York, College of Optometry.
Dr. Ding continued his clinical development through internship training at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, followed by residency at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System in Montrose, New York. Early in his career, he served as a Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry, mentoring and supervising future optometrists.
Since returning home to B.C., Dr. Ding has focused on providing patient-centred, comprehensive eye care – combining his academic background with a deep-rooted passion for supporting local families.
