Dr. Brittany Hertz

Originally from Alberta, Dr. Brittany Hertz earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta before pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Oregon. After graduation, she made the move to British Columbia—where she now proudly calls home.

Dr. Hertz’s clinical training included a wide range of experiences, from primary care and pediatrics to low vision and rehabilitation. Her final externship at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Southern Oregon deepened her interest in traumatic brain injury and post-concussion vision care. She has also participated in outreach mission trips to Belize and Costa Rica, providing much-needed eye care to underserved communities.

Dr. Hertz is thrilled to be part of the Southpoint Optometry team, where she enjoys building long-lasting connections with patients in the South Surrey area. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find her baking, getting lost in a good book, or indulging in her favourite guilty pleasure - reality TV.
